Wordsearches are fun and engaging ways to introduce glossary terms of a subject. They’re also useful to polish your brain’s ability to quickly recognize patterns. This 118 element wordsearch is a great way to interact with all 118 elements of the periodic table.
Find each element looking forward, backward, up, down, or diagonally in the array of letters. Print your own copy by downloading the PDF and printing on a standard 8½ x 11″ sheet of paper. The puzzle will scale down to an A4 sheet and still be readable if you choose ‘Scale to Fit’ as your print option on your printer.
If you need a hint or three, I’ve included a completed PDF version to download, or you can just look at this image.
I’ve set the colors to correspond to the direction of the hidden element to help speed up the search for that last one you can’t find.
Wordsearches are fun to make, and I’ve made quite a few. Check some of the other science-oriented wordsearch puzzles.
