Wordsearches are a fun method to introduce glossary terms to students. This nonmetals word search contains 18 nonmetal elements from the periodic table.

Nonmetals Word SearchThe nonmetals can be found vertically, horizontally, and diagonally as well as forwards and backward. The wordsearch is optimized to fit on a standard 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of paper, but scales nicely to the A4 paper size. To make printing easier, a PDF is available for download.

Note: Tennessine and Oganesson were left off this list. Not enough of these elements have been obtained to determine their chemical properties, such as metal or nonmetal. They are generally considered non-metals due to their location on the periodic table.
