How to Print Graph Paper
For the most accurate grid spacing, download and print the PDF version of the graph paper.
- Use standard 8.5 × 11-inch US Letter paper.
- Print at 100% or Actual Size when exact grid dimensions matter.
- Do not select Fit to Page or other scaling options if you need the printed squares to measure exactly 1/4 inch, 1/5 inch, 1/10 inch, or another specified size.
- For everyday homework or drawing, ordinary printer paper works well. Heavier paper is useful for repeated handling or technical drawings.
After printing, check the grid with a ruler if exact dimensions are important. Printer settings and printer hardware can sometimes introduce slight scaling.
