April 22 is Earth Day.

Earth Day is a global event meant to raise awareness about the Earth and environmental issues. Communities around the world host an assortment of events ranging from beach cleanups in Kuwait to nature walks in U.S. National Parks. The Earth Day network‘s theme this year is Green Cities.

There’s no shortage of science things to do this Earth Day. Remember you can explore one of the deep water trenches in the Gulf of Mexico with NOAA’s Okeanos Explorer or take a selfie for NASA.

Take some time today to appreciate the world we all share.
